How to improve the quality of Text Recognition?

These few tips will help Genius Scan get better results with text recognition:

  • Activate the proper language(s) in the Text Recognition settings.

  • Crop the document close to the text, without extra borders.

  • Enhance the document with the Black and White filter. Choose the Strong variation of the Black and White filter for sharper results.

In short, aim to —sharper scans make it easier for the Text Recognition feature to detect and extract text accurately.

The Text Recognition feature is designed to work on typed texts. Handwritten texts might get poor results. If you must use Text Recognition on handwritten texts, try to capitalize all your letters for Genius Scan to recognize your text.
