With the Text Recognition feature, the PDFs you create will have a text layer in addition to the image layer.
You first need to activate . Then, every new document that you scan (or any page that you edit) will be re-processed with OCR. Once a document has been processed with OCR, it will contain a text layer when you export it as a PDF.
By default, the search field in Genius Scan only searches in the title and tags of your documents.
However, you can find documents based on any of their content. This will let you quickly find an old iPhone receipt by searching for "Apple Store" even if the text doesn't appear in the title of the document but only in the actual document.
