When you take a scan, Genius Scan detects the borders of your document so you don't have to crop and straighten the scan yourself. However, you can adjust the frame of the document both and after the scanning process.
Open Genius Scan and tap a document to open it. Tap Edit at the bottom of your screen to open the Edit screen.
Edit your document directly from the Edit screen.
From the Edit screen (iOS) or Edit toolbar (Android):
Choose the filter you want to apply to your document. The Filter preview allows you to see what your document will look like.
From the Edit screen (iOS) or Edit toolbar (Android):
Tap the Recrop button to recrop your document.
Drag and drop the corner of the quadrangle to adjust the frame of the scan and tap Done. Tip: use the magnifier to position the frame with high precision and without your fingers obstructing the preview. Cropping and perspective have been applied to your document.
You can choose Detect to detect the document in your scan, or Maximize to revert your scan to the original photo.
From the Edit screen (iOS) or Edit toolbar (Android), choose between Left and Right to rotate your document. Each time you tap, the scan rotates by 90° clockwise and counterclockwise.
From the Edit screen (iOS) or Edit toolbar (Android), tap the Curvature Correction feature to straighten your document further. Tap the button again to revert its effect.
