Export via WebDAV

WebDAV is a protocol that enables you to connect Genius Scan to various services.

Exporting documents via WebDAV requires Genius Scan Plus.

Set up the WebDAV settings

  1. To configure a new FTP integration in Genius Scan, go to Settings.

The Settings page shows the different Genius Scan features and settings
  1. In Export, tap Add shortcut...

The add shortcut button is written in orange
  1. Choose FTP.

WebDAV is in the list of export plugins
  1. Enter your FTP settings. Then, tap Log in.

Fill the following fields with your credentials

Make sure you only enter the host part in the Host field and the rest of the path in the Root field. See the configuration table below.

Setup for common WebDAV services

The table below details the configuration for some common cloud services, but always make sure to read your provider's configuration for more details.

For all the services below, you will need to provide the proper username and password for the Username and Password fields.

Citrix Sharefile

To export to your Citrix Sharefile server with an address such as https://yoursubdomain.sharefile-webdav.com/ you need to specify:

  • Host: https://yoursubdomain.sharefile-webdav.com

NextCloud

To export to your Nextcloud server with an address such as https://www.hostname.com:8888/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/files/username/ you need to specify:

  • Host: https://www.hostname.com

  • Port: 8888

  • Root: /nextcloud/remote.php/dav/files/username

OwnCloud

To export to your OwnCloud server with an address such as http://owncloud.mydomain.com/remote.php/webdav you need to specify:

  • Host: https://owncloud.mydomain.com

  • Root: /remote.php/webdav

Synology

To export to your Synology server with an address such as https://hostname.com/ you need to specify:

  • Host: https://hostname.com (or https://your_server_ip)

  • Port: 5006 or the port that you specified for WebDAV on your Synology NAS

pCloud

To export to your pCloud account, you need to specify:

  • Host:

    • pCloud (US): https://webdav.pcloud.com

    • pCloud (EU): https://ewebdav.pcloud.com

  • Login: your pCloud account username

  • Password: your pCloud account password

kDrive

To export to your kDrive account, you need to specify:

  • Host: https://IDkDrive.connect.kdrive.infomaniak.com (e.g. https://123456.connect.kdrive.infomaniak.com)

  • Login: your kDrive account username

  • Password: your kDrive account password

luckycloud

To export to your luckycloud account, you need to specify:

  • Host:

    • Home / Team: https://sync.luckycloud.de

    • Pro / Business: https://storage.luckycloud.de

  • Login: your full email address

  • Password: your luckycloud password

  • Root: luckycloud

MagentaCloud

To export to your MagentaCloud account, you need to specify:

  • Host: https://magentacloud.de

  • Login: your full email address

  • Password: your password

  • Root: /remote.php/webdav

Here is the MagentaCloud documentation on WebDAV. If you get regular timeout errors when browsing files or exporting files, this may mean you have used your login on too many devices and you can solve this by creating a new user for your WebDAV server.

Yandex.Disk

At this time it seems that Yandex doesn't allow WebDAV connections anymore.

Export a document via WebDAV

  1. Scan or open a document and tap the Share button.

The share button is located at the bottom of your screen
  1. Choose FTP.

WebDAV is in the list of export destinations
  1. Select the folder you want and export your document.
