Synchronization & Backup
Genius Cloud is accessible with a Genius Scan Ultra subscription.
What is synchronized?
All documents are automatically saved and synchronized between all your logged-in devices in real time. Changes made to documents are also synced with your Genius Cloud account, namely:
corrections to cropping, dewrapping, curvature, and rotation
edits to image enhancement
changes of page formats
file renaming
page ordering
document tagging
If, for some reason, your documents don't appear up-to-date on one device, check your Internet connection and press the sync button at the top of Genius Scan's main screen to force its synchronization.
Where can I access my scans?
You can access your documents in the Genius Scan app on iOS and Android, and also on computers by logging into your account at geniuscloud.com.
How much storage space do I have?
There is no storage limit in place at this time, and we don't intend to put a hard limit. You can use the service reasonably without worry.
Additionally, Genius Cloud can help you save space on your local device by offloading rarely accessed documents to Genius Cloud. You can still access them from your phone; Genius Scan will download them when you open them.
Is this compatible with other storage services?
Yes. With Genius Cloud, you can still export your documents to other apps, such as Dropbox and Google Drive. You can do so manually for each document or enable Auto-Export to automatically send all your scans and edits in real time to your desired cloud storage.
