Export Scans as Text

If Text Recognition is applied to your document, Genius Scan can export it as Text. Here's how to turn on Text Recognition and make sure it has been applied to your document.

Export a document as Text

iOS

1. Open a document and tap the Text Recognition button,

1. In the Text tab, tap the expand button at the bottom of your screen,

1. Tap the Share button at the top of your screen to copy or export the text of your document.

1. Choose your destination.

You can also choose the Text format from the export options screen:

1. Open the document and tap the export icon in the bottom-right corner.

1. Tap the gear icon to open the export options.

1. Select JPEG as the export format and choose Done.

1. Choose your export destination.

Android

1. Open the document and tap the Share icon in the top-right corner.

1. In Format, choose TXT.

1. Choose your export destination.

Export multiple documents as Text

iOS

1. Tap the selection icon in the top-right corner and choose Select. Select the documents you wish to export and tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.

1. Tap the gear icon to open the export options.

1. Select Text as the export format and choose Done.

1. Choose your export destination.

Android

1. On the main screen, long-press several documents and tap the Share icon.

1. In Format, choose TXT.

1. Choose your export destination.
