Scan and extract a business card

With the Text Recognition feature, you can scan business cards and turn them into contacts in your address book. The detection picks up essential information from the cards, such as the name, job title, phone numbers, and addresses.

To automatically create a contact:

  1. Open your Genius Scan App and tap the + button to scan a new document to scan a Business Card,

Place the business card at the center of the scanning screen
  1. Tap Business card detected,

The Business Card detected button appears in yellow at the bottom of your screen
  1. Tap the Add Contact button,

The Add Contact button is at the bottom of your screen
  1. Edit if things need to be edited.

The Contact app opens so you can create a new contact

If you can't automatically create a contact, it might be because Text Recognition is not enabled on your device. Make sure Text Recognition is on.
