Create and manage folders

Folders help you organize your documents within the Genius Scan app.

They’re great for people with lots of documents that need to be organized thoroughly and those who want to export multiple documents at once. Folders will be on top of all other documents when you open the Genius Scan app.

Create a folder

  • Open Genius Scan.

  • Tap the Settings icon .

  • Choose New folder.

  • Name your new folder.

You can now scan documents from inside your folders or move documents to your folders.

Scan documents from inside a folder

  • Open Genius Scan

  • Tap a folder

  • Tap the + sign (iOS) or the Camera icon (Android).

Move a document/folder to another folder

On iOS, there are two ways to move your documents and folders:

  • Long-press the folder or document you want to move and choose Move. Then, choose the folder where you want to move your document.

  • Press the folder or document you want to move to drag and drop it into another folder.

You can also order your documents by name or date inside your folders. Other ways to organize your documents are smart name templates and tags.

Move multiple documents to a folder

You can select multiple documents to move them to a folder simultaneously.

  1. Open Genius Scan, tap the Settings icon and choose Select.

  1. Tap a document to add it to the selection. You can tap as many documents as you need. Then, tap Move at the bottom of your screen and select the folder you want to move your documents to.

You can also tap two documents simultaneously and add any extra documents to your selection by tapping them. Then, tap Move at the bottom of your screen.
