Transfer Documents to a New Device

There are several ways to transfer scans between devices.

If you still have your old device with you

Automatic transfer with Genius Cloud

If you do not have a Genius Cloud account yet, you can on your old device and follow the next steps.

  1. On your old device, tap the sync button at the top of your screen to ensure that all your documents are uploaded to Genius Cloud. Tap the backup and sync button if you see changes are pending.

  1. On your new device, tap the sync button at the top of your screen and choose Log In to log into your Genius Cloud account.

  1. Your documents will be downloaded from Genius Cloud to your new device.

  1. On your old device, tap the sync button at the top of your screen to ensure that all your documents are uploaded to Genius Cloud. Tap the backup and sync button if you see changes are pending.

  2. On your new device, tap the sync button at the top of your screen and choose Log In to log into your Genius Cloud account.

  3. Your documents will be downloaded from Genius Cloud to your new device.

If you do not have a Genius Cloud account yet, you can on your old device and follow the next steps.

You can on your old device, and restore it on your new device.

If you have created an iCloud or iTunes backup on your old device, you can restore it on your new device. explains in details how to proceed.

Make sure to select "Restore an iCloud Backup" when you set up your device. If you select "Set up as a New iPhone" in the Apps & Data menu ( ), you will not be able to recover your Genius Scan data even if you later log into your iCloud account.
