Adjusting export settings

Reduce or increase the exported file size

The best way to reduce or increase the file size for the scans in Genius Scan is to change the document's resolution when exporting.

iOS

1. Tap the Share button to open the export destination screen.

1. Tap the gear icon at the top of your screen to open the export options screen.

1. Set the resolution to Low or Medium if you want to lower your scan's size. Set the resolution to High or Actual to increase it.

Android

1. Tap the Share button to open the export destination screen.

1. In File Size, set the resolution to Low or Medium if you want to lower your scan's size. Set the resolution to High or Actual to increase it.

Reducing the resolution will also reduce the quality of your scan. Some trial and error will help you find a good compromise for your use case.

In the Export options screen, you can also choose your scan's format (JPEG, PDF, or Text) or set a password (for PDFs only). On iOS, you can also choose to export your documents as an Expense Report or Business Card.
